Intelligent Storage

Benefits
     of Intelligent Storage

User Perspective

End users will see better performance, simpler management and administration, and more autonomous operation. Intelligent Storage Devices provide additional functionality to the applications and take care of themselves. The goal of Intelligent Storage from the user perspective is an overall lower total cost of ownership and increased productivity.

Vendor Perspective

Intelligent storage offers a tremendous potential for product differentiation. Storage device intelligence can be tailored to specific vertical applications. Vendors can build storage devices that more effectively utilize the underlying hardware and dynamically incorporate new functionality (new intelligence) for changing data, applications, and markets. The goal of Intelligent Storage from the vendor perspective is to provide far more opportunity for adding value to their products.
